Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief

Look, I didn’t want to be a half-blood. I never asked to be the son of a Greek God.

I was just a normal kid, going to school, playing basketball, skateboarding. The usual. Until I accidentally vaporized my maths teacher. Now I spend my time battling monsters and generally trying to stay alive.

This is the one where Zeus, God of the Sky, thinks I’ve stolen his lightning bolt – and making Zeus angry is a very bad idea.

The Creakers

Do you ever hear strange, creaking noises at night? Ever wonder what makes those noises? Lucy Dungston always did. Until, one morning, Lucy discovers that all the grown-ups have disappeared – as if into thin air. Chaos descends as the children in Lucy’s town run riot. It’s mayhem. It’s madness. To most kids, it’s amazing! But Lucy wants to find out the truth. Lucy lost her dad not long ago, and she’s determined not to lose her mum too. She’s going to get her back – and nothing is going to stop her . . . except maybe the Creakers.

The Young Magicians and the Thieves' Almanac

Alex doesn’t say much, and once jumped when handed a satsuma, but, wow, is he amazing with a deck of cards.

Zack is undoubtedly one of the best pickpockets in the country (but always puts things back).

Sophie once convinced her Brown Owl that all the other Brownies were jellyfish thanks to her nifty hypnosis skills – and then never returned.

Jonny – who is quite possibly the tallest boy in the universe – mixes science and magic with spectacular consequences (mostly explosions).

Join these young magicians as they step inside the world-famous conjuring club in an adventure that may or may not involve the search for a secret book, a set of impossible crimes and . . . oh, yes – a flock of very confused pigeons.

The Story of Tracy Beaker

‘I’m Tracy Beaker. This is a book all about me. I’d read it if I were you. It’s the most incredible dynamic heart-rending story. Honest.’

Tracy is ten years old. She lives in a Children’s Home but would like a real home one day, with a real family. Meet Tracy, follow her story and share her hopes for the future in this beautifully observed, touching and often very funny tale, all told in Tracy’s own words.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Getaway

Greg Heffley and his family are getting out of town.

With the cold weather setting in and the stress of the Christmas holiday approaching, the Heffleys decide to escape to a tropical island resort for some much-needed rest and relaxation. A few days in paradise should do wonders for Greg and his frazzled family.

But the Heffleys soon discover that paradise isn’t everything it’s cracked up to be. Sun-poisoning, stomach troubles and venomous creatures all threaten to ruin the family’s vacation.

Daisy and the Trouble with School Trips

Daisy is on a school trip.

With lots of other children and few teachers.

Daisy likes being out of school.

Daisy also likes TROUBLE!

You Choose in Space

Zoom off into space for an adventure where YOU CHOOSE what happens next. Which alien would you most like to be friends with? And what fantastically freaky food will you decide to munch for lunch?

The Dinosaur that Pooped a Princess

Danny and Dinosaur are convinced that a damsel in distress needs their help – they just need to find her. But there are twists in store . . . Can Dinosaur make it through Fairy Tale Land without eating everything in sight? And do all princesses really need to be rescued?
